Safe to say at this point we will have to wait. Man, I had that upgrade waiting. But then again, what's another three months to wait from the usual release date?
3 months... Or more, we don't know, that's the problem. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S2, an outstanding phone(reviews say), will be in the market. Apple, wake up.

yes i understand the point. but i don't find a reason.
and yes, i do have all the computers in my household contributing to my personal team.
i can't 'compete'. the whole thing is basically it's whoever has a very nice computer/folding rig, or whoever has a nice computer and doesn't use it, but leaves it on to fold. so technically it's not 'competing' because they are computers, you aren't actually doing any work besides for setting up the actual client, and having it run well on your machine.

Here is my question with the market....
A year ago, when Apple was at 80 and the iPhone and all the new products had been announced, I figured everyone knew how great these products were going to be and had already inflated the price of the stock to a high 80. So, I decided not to buy.... well, as we know, the stock rose over 200. Everyone bought much later on.
So, does this translate to: In a market that I know a lot about and believe in, even though new product news is out, before profit/financial news it out, should I still buy?
(Yes, I am relatively new at this... flame on)
It just drives me nuts, that I knew things were going to do well, and thought everyone already knew and had bought.

Played the back 9 at http://www.pittsburghgolf.com/
http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/1205/golffox.jpg
Played terrible but did see a red fox out on the course. :D
Took the photo with my iPhone 4 for a ways away (Probably 50 yards) used the HDR setting, came out a lot better than the non HDR photo.
Very cool, I've worked at this course (http://www.tavistockcc.org/) the past two years and it was always a joy seeing wild life.

As for wanting / not wanting kids. I don't know. Part of me would like kids one day. On the other hand, I'm afraid I'd mess them up.
Ah, sterile?
Had I done this as a kid, I would have been beaten for it.
Not like bamboo cane or whip beating though, just paddle and maybe belt beating. TBH, in retrospect it really wasn't that bad, and I really did learn to be a pretty decent human being. I turned out just fine too, in fact, I'd like to think better than some of my peers. But that's a bit pretentious, so I digress.
There's obviously a large debate over child punishment though, with adamant supporters on either side of the fence. Which one is right is really a gray zone in my opinion, and while I would like to think soft punishment would be sufficient for my future kids, I definitely see the use for the other side. I think moderation is key in this area; I mean you don't want to see kids running around wild, but at the same time you shouldn't beat your kid senseless. Unfortunately, in today's society everything is construed as child abuse, and I fear that we have strayed a little too far left towards "soft" punishment. But that's just me, I'm sure many of you feel differently.
That was a little off topic.
90 day refund policy w/ iTunes, if I do recall correctly; but I'm sure there's many caveats.
Just bc someone doesn't want children (gasp!!), doesn't mean they can't have them, or even if sterility was the prblem, there's a little thing called adoption. Thousands of unwanted children...
There are many, MANY parents that SHOULDN'T have children. For one of the posters to say that he doesn't want a child for fear he/she will "mess them up," i applaud you. You actually have forethought and restraint when it comes to coitus and relationships.
Wow, think of that...someone you thinks *before* they act......maybe a lot more people should take *that* lead...
Off topic, fine. I didn't bring it up, but if they can insinuate someone is sterile bc they don't want kids, we can have a say in it too.
On topic, if I had accidentally purchased this same app, and not an 11-year-old, would i have gotten that same refund?

Around here AIM is all anyone uses...
Well around here most people use MSN with a smattering of Google's Jabber messenger thing. As pointed out elsewhere, it's very geographical dependant (i.e. AIM in the US, MSN everywhere else).
I have just switched to Mac, and it's annoying I cant Video Conference with any MSN Messenger users (MSN Messenger on Mac doesnt support it). iChat is awesome but I have no contacts, lol. Anyone know of any other way, I have tried AdiumX and looked into Jabber.
I've tried aMSN/Mercury and plain didn't like it. Ugly, slow and couldn't get my iSight to even look like it was going to work. Now playing around with the Yahoo messenger for video chats since the Y!/MSN protocol partnership.

If this requires case manufacturers to make a case specifically for the white iPhone on both carriers, I wouldn't be surprised if they just said screw it, were not making one. Apple released the white iPhone because they said they would, I don't think enough will be sold where it makes sense for case makers.
Someone will make a case. Do you think these established companies want some newjack to come in and steal their entire market? Once you buy a case and like it, you typically stay with that company for your next one. Businesses would rather make money instead of making points.

"Q on Mac Pro demand. A: Very positive reaction to Mac Pro. Still feel there is a delay in purchasing related to Creative Suite (Universal)"
They said the same thing about pro desktop sales when we were waiting on a carbon version from Adobe. Then, it was released and Pro sales didn't increase. Too bad you can't put Xeon in a MBP :P

Hard to believe everybody just stood around and let those girls assault him like that. As far as the seizure....that looks fake as all get out. I have seen a person have a seizure and it was no way near that violent.

The iPad has already blown away the "Apple makes overpriced stuff myth" out of the water. If you are still clinging on to this, let it go and find another useful argument.
Most of the products in Apple's line up are competitively priced or more affordable than its competitors...and don't compare iMac's to desktop boxes it's an all-in-one a different form factor.
Apple makes insane profits because their products sell...in extraordinary numbers not because they are overpriced. Fact is if Apple only makes income because of the premium, people will not continue to buy them if they don't work well.
If you want to dispute what I said, try making your own product, design a pretty logo for it and sell it at a premium. See how that works out for you.
What does the iPad or anything I sad have to do with my suggestion? My point was very simple and has nothing to do with any other Apple product. I simply suggested that Apple would still make a huge profit if they simply made a regular television and charge extra for it.

I doubt it'll end up looking like that, but I wouldn't mind seeing a slightly bigger screen, also personally I'd rather have a lighter iphone 5 then a thinner one.. I kinda like the gesture area idea, I wonder if it'll be for flicking your thumb up, down, left, & right to access multi-tasking, although it'd probably be easier if it was done on the touch screen it self, considering its much larger..

It has gone now, but I found it interesting that it was listing this for my Universal iOS game TiltStorm. It has touch and accelerometer control options, so it wouldn't be suitable as is for a touch control Mac. It is also a portrait orientated game, so isn't going to fill a widescreen monitor.
I think there will be much tighter iOS - OS X integration with Lion. I wonder if it will mean it can run iOS apps, possibly in a virtual environment, with an iOS device acting as the controller. All it would need is an Apple app on the device. The Mac sends the screen image to the device so that you can see where to touch, etc. And gets the control inputs in return.
There would be several benefits. You can run the app at a larger size on the Mac screen. Older devices could possibly run apps at full speed as the bulk of the work is offloaded to the Mac. And you could access all apps in your App Store library while in wi-fi range.

Aside from the whole "personal responsibility" debate, why doesn't Apple just allow cancel/refund of purchases as long as it is done before the download is finished (meaning it's impossible to use)?
Seems like a no brainer to me.
I get refunds all the time. Maybe its because I usually go to the "problem" section in the itunes store. But failing that the creator. But I have gotten refunds from several. Also Its early and Im not thiinking too clear..but you can go to your ACCOUNT and authorize whichever device you wanna allow to use your purchases. Of course I dont think this will help if you set up a new account for a gift, but you can GIVE apps to others. I apologize if my somnambulism has misread your intent. WOuldnt be the first time.

Are you saying that only people who love each and every Apple decision should post here? Probably not but you sound like it. I thought we were just discussing the merits of tech gadgets here.
No, what I'm saying is that there are many Android forums out there that would provide news about products that suit you more than iProducts do. You want a product that dies on you half-way through the day. The majority of us don't.
