I will have to take a look at DoubleTwist, again.
Just an FYI though, it won't sync over DRM content. That stuff is locked to iTunes and any iPod associated with the account.
It's based on demand. If it's still popular its more expensive - no matter how old it is.
The price increase from Apple was mainly done to have the music be DRM free.

I'm confused. Everyone is arguing whether $20/yr for "this" is too expensive.
Anyone care to explain what "this" actually is?
Is it for music purchased through iTunes, or is it for *all* of your music (ripped, downloaded, emailed, created, legal, illegal, whatever)?
Is it only for music that happens to be sold by the 4 major labels that Apple apparently made agreements with?
If it's anything less than "a music locker for everything, with no exceptions", then count me out. I have tons of ripped music and I have no idea which labels they are from. I don't have any interest in having "some fraction" of my library in the cloud either. Oh, and I've never purchased music from iTunes.

I like it,
its a calendar, it looks like what it does, with MobileMe its the exact same calendar as the one on my iPhone and iPad, now it looks the same
love the continuity in the calendars! if windows look different from each other it's a good thing, because they all do different things.

Why is everyone assuming that you would use your fingers for these controls. Sounds like there could be lots of uses - clean and dirty.
Clean: you could flick your head to a side to forward to the next song.
Dirty: you could (beep) your (beep) to get to the next song. :D

Indeed on first read, I'd say that he presents a convincing argument. I'll go along with his diagnosis that there's no hole that could open you up to arbitrary code execution. If that's your definition of a security hole, then it follows that there's no security hole there. But it's still leaving you open the possibility that the operating system may crash for no apparent reason, causing you to lose any unsaved work.
Lost work... Depending on how productive you are, that can easily result in monetary damage being done.
As I posted previously, that leaves you in no worse a situation than you always are if you're running a desktop computer without a UPS. But I think that it still warrants attention.
At best it still qualifies as an inconvenience, because the savvy user who saves her work regularly will only have lost 5 or 6 minutes of productivity including the reboot. At worst, it can result in hours of lost work for the user who doesn't understand the "save your work" mantra -- especially if we're talking about somebody who's protected by a battery backup and doesn't think that unexpected reboots should be possible on such an inherently stable operating system.
And it's undoubtedly a bug inside Apple's software that's causing this problem, therefore it is absolutely appropriate that Apple should be expected to fix it. I appreciate anybody's effort to bring such bugs to light, because that increases the probability that Apple will find out about it and fix it.
I'm saying Apple shouldn't fix it, I'm merely pointing out that many people are reacting to the MOKB as a wealth of major security flaws.
This is a bug, an annoying bug that should be fixed, but that's very different from a security flaw in which a crash can be used to inject malicious code. MOKB's author LMH was wrong about this particular instance and he did not do the research required of a security professional in this particular problem.
Again, don't dismiss the MOKB or the warnings from Secunia or F-Secure or even the demonstrations by Ellrich and Johnny Cache, instead we need to assess the problem as best we can.
I would say that you probably shouldn't be installing .dmgs while you're doing important work that hasn't been saved, that's just asking for trouble.

YES! Now I can trade in my Microshaft Bluetooth mouse for this one! I've waned a mighty mouse for a while, but didn't want to give up bluetooth (even though I'm never really a distance away that a cord wouldn't reach).

And here my last purchase: Shaken green tea lemonade - I quit buying coffee from starbucks to reduce my sugar intake but I needed something to get from the coffee shop!
I actually get a half-green, half-passion tea lemonade. Try it. It's good. :)
Corey, that dog is adorable. What breed?

This photo is from my recent trip to India. I had asked about some gear and stuff before leaving (this is my first (D)SLR and my first foray into more serious photography). C&C on everything I post is welcome, as I would like to grow as a photographer!
Also, don't peek at my photostream, as I'd like to post some of those in the upcoming days here. :D
I posted this in the March thread... Way to go, me. We're obviously 3 days into April now. XD

Just a thought
But apple have hired the carbon fibre specialist? Why not make it lighter and thinner by using him to work his magic over the iPhone form factor. I'd go for a CF iPhone to be sure.

Mini is on C2D because wasn't room (in case or pricepoint) for dedicated gpu.
Now that SB is out with an integrated gpu on par with the 320M you'll see it in the Mini soon enough.
+1 eventually mac mini will be updated same goes to white macbook also
White Macbook with i5 CPU is nice upgrade, one tuesday at a time ... :D

Can I get an Amen? This is just M$ trying to frack with Mac switchers who still want to use Windows on their Macs. I don't know anyone who as ever read any M$ EULA in any great detail - but, if they start an urban legend that it's "illegal" to use Windows on a Mac, then people won't read the EULA and just believe M$ will somehow find out they're emulating Vista on their MacBook and shut off the installation remotely. Look at how much gobbledygook M$ has already put out about Vista and "activation", piracy, and other "security" measures.
These aren't the droids you're looking for. You can go about your business. Move along, move along.
I presently use a copy of windows xp pro on my macbook, which actually came in a bundle pack from Dell for the computer in my office. I don't see how Vista will be any different, and if something went wrong with it on my computer, I'd hardly be distraught since OS X would be unharmed. What's Microsquat gonna do? Fry my Hard Drive? Since the vast majority of mac users will most likely be using Vista and Windoze of old as a second tier operating system, I and I'm sure many others fail to see the threat. But it's their product, and they ARE free to do what they wish with it, but I think that although this may be golden for MS on the business sector, I also agree with many here that anyone and everyone that makes, takes and remakes pirated Windows software will do so even faster, since no one likes to bloodlet their wallets.

I have a Zebra 4-in-1 + pencil (http://http://www.jetpens.com/index.php/product/view/products_id/474), which has 4 pen colours and a mechanical pencil. I have 3 nicer-looking versions of the one in the link. ;) I'll pick up more of them the next time I'm in Japan!

It's WiMax.. iPhone is going to be LTE. Apple is obsessed with thin design. Using two separate chip for 3G and 4G will make things too tight. I'm guessing they want the hybrid chip..
Using two separate chips eats battery life. Not to mention LTE is still "just" coming out, so it won't be widespread enough to take advantage of it until 2012 anyway.
